It should come as no surprise that Minnesota is full of scenic beauty. Aside from our 10,000 lakes, we are home to hundreds of miles of river, vast forests, and sweeping prairie vistas full of waving grass. Every region of Minnesota has a stunning landscape to offer. That statement may be more true in Duluth than anywhere else. There is a nature reserve there that rises high above the city and comes complete with an incredible view. Take a look:
Hawk Ridge is a nature reserve and bird observatory in Duluth, Minnesota.
In addition to viewing opportunities, the reserve is also a great place to learn about birds. Naturalists lead talks and demonstrations involving the birds.
Of course, you can't visit Hawk Ridge without noticing the spectacular view. You'll see endless trees, blue sky, and the sparkle of Lake Superior in the distance.
This is a great spot for taking photos. Even if you're not interested in bird photography, it's not difficult to capture a few beautiful family snapshots here.
The summer is great, but one of the best times to visit in the fall. When the leaves change, the entire city is covered in color. This is also a great time to observe and learn about migratory birds.
