Looking for a unique day trip to get away from it all? Located in the Superior National Forest of northern Minnesota, you can't get much more isolated than the Trestle Inn. The Trestle Inn has an interesting history -- it was constructed in the 1980s from an abandoned 1920s railroad trestle made of Douglas fir. During the winter, the Trestle Inn a popular destination for adventurous snowmobilers. But the restaurant and bar is accessible by car, too.
