One of the best wineries in the state of Minnesota can be found in the small town of Alexandria.
It won't be just the wine that has you looking at the world through rose-colored glasses. The secluded winery is tranquil, and the entire grounds are illuminated with a golden glow.
Carlos Creek is inventive with their wine flavors. While, of course, they have your chardonnays and your classic reds, they get inventive with their inclusion of blueberry, cranberry, and apple to some of their wines to create absolutely delicious flavors. The wines are all Minnesota-themed as well, which is simply adorable.

The winery's vines and apple trees are something to be seen and admired.
There's a huge chess board at the winery and every fall, a festival is thrown which always includes a family-friendly petting zoo, as well as kid-friendly food vendors, and a wonderful root beer stand. Of course, we'll admit that adult-only time is pretty important too.
You'll be taught about growing the right grapes, harvesting them, smashing them, and, of course, turning them into a universally loved alcoholic beverage.
It's exactly as cool as it sounds. This is where the wine hangs out while it's being aged until it's ready to be bottled. Tasting wine is an instrumental part of the tour, but don't forget to consume responsibly.
