Spend The Night In Minnesota’s Most Majestic Castle For An Unforgettable Experience

There are plenty of unique hotels to choose from in Minnesota. We have train car hotels, jail hotels, and even haunted hotels. Many have enjoyed overnight stays at each of these places, but how many have stayed the night in a Minnesota castle hotel? Luckily, one hotel in Ortonville, Minnesota, is giving more Minnesotans the chance to do just that. This historic property is full of modern amenities and is situated in the perfect location for a relaxing weekend stay.

The Shorewood Castle Suites hotel is located in Ortonville right on Minnesota's border with South Dakota.

Ortonville is a small town - just under 2,000 people - but it's full of charm. Local restaurants and shops line the main street.

The hotel is not far from that main street. It's located on Lakeshore Drive. You'll recognize it by the gorgeous tower covered in fairytale ivy.

If you thought the castle couldn't get any more perfect, think again. It's right on the shores of Big Stone Lake.

Inside the 130-year-old castle, things look surprisingly modern. Both the Tower Room and the Lakeside Suite have been recently updated.

Each suite has ample room for making yourself comfortable, including a full kitchen.

The Tower Room even has a sitting area right in the turret.

On the other side of the building, the Lakeside Suite offers lovely views of the lake.

All in all, this is a gorgeous place to spend a night or two in an amazing historic castle.
