Here in Minnesota, we still haven’t seen a lot of snow for the 2017-2018 winter season. Sure, there have been a few storms here and there. But much of the state is just a few warm days away from being completely brown.

However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t Minnesotans doing all they can to enjoy the little snow we’ve gotten. In fact, there is a family of brothers who have for the past six years created a magnificent snow sculpture every year. Read on to learn about Bartz Snow Sculptures and their yearly tradition:

Since 2012, the Bartz brothers have turned their front yard into a winter wonderland for all to enjoy.

The first sculpture was a pufferfish, complete with dozens of pointy spines.

The next year, the brothers decided to continue the deep-sea theme with a towering walrus sculpture.

But the brothers were only getting warmed up. In 2014, they unveiled a gigantic shark sculpture - complete with teeth!

In 2015, their snow sculpting skills brought delight in the form of a sea turtle. The detailed shell and scales were something to behold.

The next two years were even more impressive. The 2016 sculpture was an enormous octopus that took up the entire yard. It even had an arch that went over the walkway!

The winter of 2017 brought an amazingly detailed fish, with layered scales and fins.

After all these years of sculpting, it's hard to imagine what the Bartz brothers will come up with next.

Luckily, this year's sculpture has been unveiled. It's an enormous lobster!

The lobster - who goes by the name of Diggs, after Viking hero Stefan Diggs - is free to visit. Check it out at 2777 16th Street Northwest in New Brighton.

As with every year, the brothers are collecting donations. This year, proceeds will go towards providing clean drinking water around the world.
