The SPAM Museum is in Austin, Minnesota, a small city about 100 miles south of Minneapolis, or 40 miles southwest of Rochester. It’s a fun destination for those looking to spend time in southern Minnesota.
Free to visit, the SPAM Museum has surprisingly a lot to offer. You can take a guided or self-guided tour through the 14,000 square feet of interesting displays.
As you walk through the exhibits, you’ll discover the interesting history of Hormel, the company that created SPAM. You’ll discover SPAM’s place in world history, including its importance to soldiers during World War II.
Food lovers will be interested in the international sections, which put SPAM uses around the world on display. You’ll find new ways to enjoy SPAM from across the globe!
There are quirky exhibits that put SPAM cans on display in new ways. Below, you’ll see a set of instruments made out of the iconic cans!
Young visitors will enjoy exploring the play area. This colorful interactive exhibit is sure to light up any younger’s imagination.
