This Historic Park Is One Of Minnesota’s Best Kept Secrets
Even though Minnesota’s statehood dates back only 160 years, its history is much longer. This land has been inhabited for thousands of years. Evidence is all around us at sites such as Jeffers Petroglyphs and Indian Mounds Park. These spots are popular, but there are many lesser known parks around the state that preserve Minnesota’s history in a beautiful and fascinating way. One of our favorites is the Snake River Fur Post in Pine City, Minnesota. Here’s why:

Interesting exhibits detail what life was like at the historic fur post. Visitors can look at replicas of tools, boats, and other implements used in the trade.
