It’s the holiday season! That means it’s time to get out there and explore Minnesota’s many dazzling lights shows. These displays are a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit. This year, many of the best displays are drive-thru creations. That means you don’t even need to get out of your car to enjoy the spectacle. Bentleyville is Minnesota’s most famous Christmas attraction. It draws in visitors from Minnesota and beyond. Though it is usually a walk-through display complete with snacks and drinks, it has undergone some changes for 2020. This year, Bentleyville is a drive-thru Christmas lights display! Sever's Holiday Lights is a fun-filled display put on by the same people behind the famous Sever's Corn Maze. This one-mile drive-thru includes more than 1 million lights! This year, you can head to ValleyFair for a drive-thru light display known as Christmas in Color. The grounds of this amusement park are transformed into a winter wonderland. The Minnesota State Fairgrounds are also an excellent place to see some lights this season! The fairgrounds are illuminated by the Glow Holiday Festival, a drive-thru light display that goes until January 3, 2021. The event lasts about 45 minutes and contains hundreds of thousands of lights. You can even snack on some of your favorite fair food as you drive! While not exactly Christmas-themed, Nature Illuminated drive-thru light show still takes place during the winter season. It's located at the Minnesota State Fair and features many larger-than-life animals all aglow! You have until January 3, 2021 to enjoy this beautiful drive-thru light display. Held at the Northland Arboretum in Baxter, Minnesota, the Sertoma Winter Wonderland is an annual event that is in its 14th year in 2020! This dazzling Christmas lights drive-thru lasts until December 31 and is only $15 per vehicle for non-members. In Lake Elmo, northeast of St. Pul, Rockpoint Church puts on a Christmas lights display every year, and 2020 is no different. This year, visitors can drive through more than 100,000 lights synchronized to music! Simply show up, tune into 97.7 FM, and enjoy! The event is totally free to visit.
