Spring tends to come a little later in Minnesota than in many other places, but by April, we start to see some lovely wildflowers popping in the southern part of the state. However, if you wait just a bit longer – toward the end of May and into June, when spring starts thinking about putting on its summer clothes – you’ll be treated to my favorite wildflower bloom in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. It’s this time of year when we start to see lady’s slippers in Minnesota, and there’s one spot, in particular, where they’re not only spectacular, they’re incredibly accessible. Head on up to the Lady Slipper Scenic Byway and see for yourself!
