If there’s one thing Minnesota is definitely NOT known for, it’s mountains. In fact, the highest point in Minnesota is the summit of Eagle Mountain, at a measly 2,301 feet (which compares in elevation change to our deepest mine at 2,341 feet below surface). But while the sheer height of many peaks and lookouts in Minnesota isn’t too impressive, the views definitely are! From the North Shore to the Mississippi Bluffs, we have some truly epic vistas to enjoy like these:

The view from Eagle Mountain is undoubtably one of the best in MN, and how could it not be, since it's the highest point in the state.

Minnesota's 9th tallest point, but one of the most spectacular, can be found on the North Shore near Tofte. It's fun to visit in all seasons, but we're partial to the fall colors!

The overlooks on the Superior Hiking Trail at Tettegouche State Park are truly amazing with views of the surrounding lakes and mountains.

The overlooks of the Mississippi on King's Bluff are stunning, and the hike is only 1 mile on this elevated trail.

This scenic view of the St. Croix is accessible with a wonderful hike through the hills of Afton State Park.

The highest point in Otter Tail County, this peak offers beautiful views of western Minnesota.

At Frontenac State Park there are plenty of epic views of Lake Pepin, but this high overlook in particular has one of the best!

This bluff over Red Wing has some of the most amazing Mississippi town views, and is definitely a local favorite.
