What are some easy-access MI waterfalls?
You may be well aware of Michigan's biggest waterfall, Tahquamenon Falls, but there are plenty of smaller waterfalls that are equally as stunning and easy to get to. Here are a few easy-access waterfalls in Michigan:
Alger Falls: This beautiful waterfall can be seen alongside Highway M-28 south of Munising. It is the only waterfall in the area that can be accessed right from the road. Just because it is easy to get to doesn't mean it isn't a glorious sight to behold.
Sable Falls: Another easy to get to waterfall in MI is Sable Falls. Located in the beautiful Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Sable Falls is a lovely multi-tiered waterfall that is so peaceful and relaxing to experience.
Ocqueoc Falls: This gentle waterfall is the only waterfall in Michigan's Lower Peninsula. It is especially enjoyable to stay at Ocqueoc Falls Campground and explore all of the natural beauty in the area.
Spray Falls: This 70-foot drop waterfall is definitely a sight to see from the water along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. If you enjoy kayaking you are in for a treat as you paddle right up to this beautiful MI waterfall.
