If You’re From Michigan, You’ve Done These 18 Things — At Least Once

There’s something special about the Michigan experience. We in the Mitten State just have a certain way about us that makes us unique. Maybe it’s the weather, our geography or our proximity to the Great Lakes that makes us do what we do. We think there are a few things that just about all of us Michiganders have experienced (OR SHOULD HAVE) at least once.

18) Had to explain you live in the Eastern time zone.

17) Have made a Biggby Coffee run.

16) Spent an entire weekend at a Lake Michigan beach town.

15) Have argued which part of the Mitten State is the best.

14) Ate fresh produce right out of your home garden

13) Have gone from frozen tundra in the morning...

12) To summer weather all in one day.

11) Driven M-22

10) Worried about getting your car stuck in the snow.

9) Got excited to retire your winter boots for the season.

8) Smelled the aroma of burning leaves when you walk outside your house.

7) Road tripped to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.

6) Have gone to a cider mill.

5) Have tried feather bowling... Or have at least heard of this unique past time.

4) Have had to explain the vast difference between the Upper Peninsula and Lower Peninsula to out-of-town guests.

3) Have your kids get a snow day with only three inches of snow... And remember not getting one when there was a foot of it when you were a kid.
