Rosy Mound Natural Area can be accessed via 13925 Lakeshore Dr in Grand Haven.
At approximately two miles round-trip, this hike is ideal for a delightful day trip with loved ones. As soon as you arrive, you’ll be amazed by the beauty of the area.
Much of the trail system at Rosy Mound is comprised of boardwalks and gravel paths, which wind through hemlock groves, maple trees, dune lands, and more.
Gaze at the surrounding flora and fauna as you venture closer to the shores of Lake Michigan. From birds to wildflowers, there’s no telling what you’ll discover here.
Along the popular Lake Michigan Trail, you’ll climb a series of over 350 steps before taking in marvelous views of the surrounding water from multiple lookout points.
Continue on one of two boardwalk paths that lead directly to the soft-sand beaches of Lake Michigan. What better way to finish a workout than with a dip in the cool waters?
