The East Head Pond Trail In Massachusetts Completely Transforms In The Winter Months

While hiking during the warmer months can be quite spectacular, there’s something so serene about winter hiking in Massachusetts. If you’re looking for a spectacular place to hike during the cold season, Myles Standish State Forest completely transforms into a winter wonderland.

The 12,400-acre Myles Standish State Forest has 13 miles of hiking trails for you to get out and explore, get some fresh air, and take in the scenery. While it's wonderful any time of year, it's particularly enchanting in the winter.

If you're looking for an easy trail to take in the winter at this state forest, the East Head Pond Trail is a perfect choice.

At 2.6 miles, the East Head Pond Trail will take you through a winter wonderland around the pond by the same name. Enjoy the peace and quiet around you as the landscape is covered in a blanket of white.

If it's cold enough outside, you may see a thin layer of ice on top of the water. Isn't it beautiful?
