Head to Cape Cod and you will find an unexpected hidden gem -- the Edward Gorey House. Edward Gorey (1925-2000) was a costume designer and illustrator known for his surrealist style. He lived in this Yarmouth Port-based house which eventually became a museum to celebrate his life and art. If you've ever read the book Make Way For Ducklings by Nancy Schön then you may also be familiar with the statue of ducklings following the mama duck in the Boston Public Garden. On September 1, 1969, Thomas E. Reed and his family witnessed a UFO. This case was recognized internationally due to the evidence presented on this sighting. This park commemorates the incident but it is certainly more than that. With its beautiful grounds and covered bridge, it's also an idyllic place to spend an afternoon enjoying the great outdoors.
