Here's Massachusetts' Top Outdoor Attraction And You'll Definitely Want To Do It

There’s perhaps no other walk in the country as well-known as Boston’s Freedom Trail. People from all over the world come to the city to explore some of the most historical sites in the state that are found along the trail. The Freedom Trail is the top outdoor attraction in Massachusetts and, if you haven’t yet walked it, it’s something you will want to do.
Take a historical walk along Boston's Freedom Trail. Just follow the 2.5-mile red line with markers through the city and you'll be led to 16 historically significant sites.
Along this iconic path through the city, you'll encounter museums, churches, meeting houses, parks, a ship, and burying grounds, like the one pictured here. This historic cemetery is the Granary Burying Ground which was
established in 1660. There are approximately 2,300 markers and several notable Americans are buried here.
This isn't the only burying ground along the Freedom Trail, however. You will also encounter the King's Chapel Burying Ground as well as Copp's Hill Burying Ground.
One of the most famous sites along the route is The Old State House, the oldest surviving public building in the city. Now a museum, it was built in 1713 and became the site of the Boston Massacre on March 5, 1770.
Another landmark associated with Revere is his home. Found in Boston's North End, the Paul Revere House was built in 1680 and it was owned by the Revolutionary War hero from 1770-1800.
Faneuil Hall is another iconic landmark in the city of Boston, built in 1741 as a hub for commerce. It was also home to the very first town hall meeting in America in the 1700s.
Also on the Freedom TraiI is a ship. Located in Boston Harbor, the USS Constitution, also known as "Old Ironsides," is the oldest warship that is still afloat. She survived fighting in the War of 1812.
