Wareham-based A.D. Makepeace Company is the world’s largest grower of cranberries, and have been producing the region’s red berries for more than 130 years. So when they opened a cranberry-themed café, locals quickly fell in love, and it’s easy to see why.

Makepeace Farms is located right about where Cape Cod joins with mainland Massachusetts, so it’s a bit of a hike for anyone not from the area, just like this remote but awesome restaurant out in western Mass. However, the tasty food and charming atmosphere are worth it. The café is not located right on the bogs, as it would be no fun to visit a restaurant submerged in a bog, but this cozy restaurant uses the delicious crops of Makepeace Farms to serve up scrumptious seasonal sandwiches, ice cream and dessert.
