Raven Rookery Trail is an easy hike within the Leadmine Mountain Conservation Area that takes you to an emerald lagoon. This trail connects with many other trails, so you can continue on, or sit beside the water for a while. No matter which route you choose, the crystal clear lagoon upon Raven Rookery Trail can’t be passed up.

This gorgeous wooded hike is located within the Leadmine Mountain Conservation Area. While there are many different hikes throughout this area, Raven Rookery takes you on a scenic journey.

At roughly 5-miles long and very little incline, this trail won't take too much out of you. You can connect to various other trails within the reserve for a longer or shorter hike.

Along the way you'll pass beautiful trees, creeks, moss, mushrooms, and even little stone sculptures that are claimed to have been left by fairies.

The most unforgettable part of this hike has to be the emerald lagoon, though.

This hidden lagoon within the Raven Rookery Trail has some of the greenest water in Massachusetts. This is a great spot to relax and reapply your bug spray before continuing on.
