Stroll Along 3 Miles Of Pristine Beach On Your Way To Race Point Lighthouse In Massachusetts
Are you in the mood for some sun and surf? This stunning walk to one of Massachusetts’ most beautiful lighthouses is the perfect way to enjoy a nice day. Here’s how you can walk through Hatches Harbor and Race Point Beach on your way to Race Point Light.
Race Point Beach is a dazzling strip of sand and saltwater marsh in Provincetown.
The out-and-back hike through this beautiful area is about 3.3 miles. It’s flat, good for all skill levels, and offers simply gorgeous views of the ocean.
Race Point Light itself is situated at the end of the walk and is truly a must-see spot in the Bay State. Originally built in 1816 and rebuilt in 1876, the lighthouse has been a Cape Cod landmark for generations.
Hikers should also be aware that this coastal trail offers little shade, so slather on that sunscreen and pack plenty of water. And don’t forget that camera! You won’t be able to stop taking pictures.
You can learn more about Race Point Light by visiting the lighthouse’s website, or check out the trail’s listing on AllTrails for more tips on hiking this unique spot.
