At 516 acres, this picturesque preserve has a barrier beach, a salt pond, a salt marsh, and red cedar trees. Throughout the acreage, you will also see a variety of shorebirds.

Cape Poge offers more than 14 miles of hiking and over-sand vehicle trails. Either by car or by foot, you can explore all that this hidden gem in Massachusetts has to offer.

Between Wasque Point and the Gut, the barrier beach of Cape Poge Wildlife Refuge extends seven miles. Along the beach is the gorgeous Cape Poge Lighthouse.

Cape Poge Lighthouse sits at the northernmost end of the barrier beach. From here, you can experience beautiful vistas of the surrounding landscape and out to the sea.
