Hear ye, hear ye! New England’s favorite renaissance festival requests your presence for its 40th season this fall. King Richard’s Faire in Carver, Massachusetts will be open on weekends and holidays that fall upon a Monday this autumn. Everyone, including lords and ladies, must be prepared to attend for music, jousting, merriment, festivities, and more.
King Richard's Faire is returning for its 40th season this year! This much-anticipated Renaissance Faire will run on weekends from September 4th through October 24th, 2021 and will include Monday holidays. That's a total of eight weekends PLUS Labor Day and Columbus Day.
His Majesty's guests are invited to arrive dressed up for the Faire. If you don't have a costume, the Faire has costumes available to rent inside the kingdom. You may choose to be a wench, prince or princess, peasant, pirate, rogue, lady, or a knight.
Once you're dressed for the Faire, why not attend a jousting match? You may also wish to visit the Royal Zoo and take a royal pony ride across the land. And behold the wondrous sight of the Faire's very own unicorn!
Test your bravery at The Gaming Glen where you can throw an axe or a knife, show off your skills with a crossbow, darts, and more. Several rides are available including the Pirate Ships which will take riders on a grand adventure!
If you're feeling famished, not to worry! Head to Canterbury Kitchens or Dragon's Tavern where you may feast upon a Turkey Leg, Dragon Wings 'n Fryes, King's Chowder Boule, Wenches Waffle with Chicken, and more. Libations may also be found at several spots around the realm including The Vinery, Dragon's Nest, Wizard's Winery, and Privy Pub, among other locales.
Located by the Kingdom's front gate, one will find His Majesty's Remembrance Shoppe. Pick up a King Richard's Faire pottery mug, beer stein, and magnets among other goods to commemorate your time at this year's Renaissance Faire!
