The Red Lion Inn has made its home in the Berkshire town of Stockbridge since the 18th century. It started as a small tavern that opened its doors in 1773.
Eventually, an inn was added and it has grown to become what it is today.
The Main Dining Room at The Red Lion Inn offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. And here you can dine in a historic setting filled with antique furniture. It's truly a step back in time.
For breakfast, perhaps you'll want buttermilk pancakes topped with real maple syrup (pictured here) -- a true New England classic.
The inn's lunch and dinner menus have similar options, although the dinner menu happens to have more. However, both have New England clam chowder, which is a "traditional favorite."
For lunch, the Red Lion Chicken Pot Pie is an excellent choice. Filled with carrots, parsnips, and peas, this savory pie is topped with a flaky pastry crust...a satisfying meal indeed!
Classic popovers accompany the equally-classic prime rib dinner. Additionally, the prime rib is served au jus with mashed potatoes and horseradish cream.
