The park’s diesel excursion train first started operating in 1947. Its original purpose was to take people around the local cranberry bogs.
Today, the excursion train still takes curious visitors to the cranberry bogs. You’ll be invited to hop into an open-air carriage and settle in for the journey.
The excursion will take you to the bogs of South Carver, where you’ll be able to enjoy the unique landscape of the cranberry bogs and snap a few photos. Keep your eyes peeled for harvesters!
The tour lasts about 20 minutes, so it’s perfect for a quick outing. When you’re back at the station, try out some of the park’s 90+ other train-themed attractions and rides.
Admission to Edaville is $35 per person for the entire day. Massachusetts residents can receive $7 off their ticket price.
