The Christmas By Candlelight Festival In Massachusetts That’s Straight Out Of A Hallmark Christmas Movie
Millions of people watch Hallmark Christmas movies each year. They are filled with heart-warming moments, maybe some romance, and always an element of surprise. They are the types of movies that have an element of magic and can make us believe that anything is possible, much like the way the holiday season can. Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts is hosting its annual Christmas by Candlelight and it’s one way to feel the magic of the season.
Step back in time to the 1830s at the 200-acre Old Sturbridge Village located in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. It is the largest outdoor living history museum in the New England region.
During theholiday season, Old Sturbridge Village transforms into a wonderland of magic with its Christmas by Candlelight event. It will be held on select dates throughout December. Experience old-fashioned Christmas traditions, live music, demonstrations, and storytelling during the celebration.
Visit the Salem Towne House to see Christmas decor as it would have been in the 1830s, 1850s, and 1870s. You'll feel as though you've been transported back in time to celebrate Christmas in another era.
You'll be able to find places for snacks, treats, meals, and drinks either before you enter the Village or within the Village. Feel free to imbibe in a non-alcoholic or an adult beverage as well, and be sure to check out the themed specialty cocktails!
