If there is one thing that can turn a good beach day into a perfect one, it is a refreshing iced coffee. Pair with a yummy bakery item, and you simply can’t go wrong! If you are headed for a day of fun and sun at Plum Island, or just find yourself in the Newburyport, Massachusetts area, there is a fantastic coffee and pastry shop that is worth a stop. Olive’s Coffee and Bakehouse serves up delicious pastries, donuts, bagels, and of course coffee. I can’t think of a better way to begin a day at the shore.

Olive's is relatively new to the Newburyport restaurant scene. The coffee shop opened in 2020 and has been a popular fixture in the area ever since.

I discovered Olive's on a recent trip to Newburyport. Once I tasted the chocolate donuts, I knew I would be returning soon.

The inside of the bakehouse is upbeat and inviting. Fun decor can be found throughout the shop.

Olive's also has iced tea and hot drink options.
You will definitely want to try some of Olive's scrumptious baked goods. Options include donuts, croissants, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches.

There are vegan and gluten-free baked goods options available.
Take your coffee to go, or sit back in an outside Adirondack chair and relax in Olive's shady outside space.

There is also a little free library at Olive's, so you can grab a book to read at the beach.
