The Water Lantern Festival In Maryland That’s A Night Of Pure Magic

Attention Marylanders! It’s recently been announced that a water lantern festival is coming to the Old Line State. This event is sure to be beautiful and inspiring, making for a night of glowing fun for the whole family. Sound intriguing? Then read on to learn more.

The Water Lantern Festival has been making its way around the US and soon, it will be coming to Baltimore.

No official date is set yet, but it will be sometime in 2018. You can sign up for updates by clicking here.

Admission includes entry to the event, a water lantern, keychain LED flashlight, marker, and wristband.

You can write whatever you'd like on your lantern, and many people use this opportunity to remember a loved one.

Then as darkness falls, lanterns are released, making for an inspiring spectacle that just may bring a tear to your eye.

Afterwords, the event crew removes all biodegradable lanterns from the water, as well as any other trash they find floating around. They're committed to leaving each community cleaner than when they arrived.
