Maryland towns and cities are quite diverse when it comes to agriculture, population, and also earnings. The following list ranks the poorest cities in Maryland based on per capita income, as of the 2010 census. We’ve also included population because it does play a role in calculating per capita income. Compare these numbers to the state average of $28,003.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
Keep in mind that these towns also have a lower cost of living, so being on this list doesn’t necessarily mean these places aren’t livable or great places to visit.
