This Restaurant In Maryland Doesn’t Look Like Much – But The Food Is Amazing
Sometimes, you just need a friendly face and some comfort food, right? That’s when it’s time to find a down-home, family-owned diner, and Nick’s Diner in Wheaton fits the bill perfectly. Take a look!
Nick Markopoulos opened his diner in 1982, and he's been feeding the folks of Wheaton breakfast ever since. This spot has always been a family affair, and now his son George works alongside him.
When you walk in the door, you'll find a small dining area...
...but you'll probably want to sit up at the counter, where you can see Nick and his son George making your breakfast at the grill.
The entire staff at Nick's is super friendly. If you're not already a regular, you'll soon feel like one!
Nick's serves up some of the best breakfast in the state.
Order up some steak and eggs for a great start to your day.
Nick and George turn out some incredibly fluffy pancakes from their grill.
For lunch, a hot turkey on rye will hit the spot.
When you're on a budget, the breakfast specials go easy on your wallet.

To enjoy all this diner goodness, you'll need to bring some cash.
Claim your counter stool for breakfast or lunch every day except Tuesday, when the Markopoulos family takes a day off. Most days, the diner opens at 6:00 am and closes at 3:00 pm; Sunday hours from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.
You'll find Nick's diner on the corner at 11199 Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton.
