Western Maryland is mostly known for Deep Creek Lake, but there's another lake even further west known as Herrington Lake at Herrington Manor State Park.

Herrington Manor State Park covers 365-acres, so there's plenty to explore. Consider renting one of the onsite cabins so that you can spend a few days among this scenic spot.

After a good night's rest and then a relaxing cup of coffee on the cabin porch, it's time for outdoor adventures.

Start your morning with kayaking on the lake. There are kayak rentals available or you can choose to bring your own.
