While other states in America may not consider Maryland tough, we beg to differ. We live day in, day out, living life full of successes, but also with occasional difficulties. Here are 10 reasons why Marylanders are unbelievably tough.

1. You have to be tough to shovel heavy, wet snow.

2. Winter's freezing weather nips at our faces but we still brave the cold.

3. And in summer, we hustle through the burning hot sun.

4. Our hands have been cut up dozens of times from picking crabs, but it's so worth it.

5. We'll do anything to reach the top of a mountain just for the view.

6. We're thick-skinned. When people make fun of our state, we just give 'em this look.

7. It takes a strong will to sit in miles of city traffic.

8. ...And an even stronger will when roads are closed due to construction.

9. We know that taxes in Marylander are higher than most states, but we still stay.

10. ...Because we're hard working, and we wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
