Somebody Painted Maryland's Hell House Ruins And It's A Mysterious Sight Indeed

Did you know that Maryland is full of old ruins? You just have to know where to look. This particular spot has become known as Hell House over the years, but it used to be the old St. Mary’s College, a seminary where men could learn to become priests. Dating all the way back to 1862, this now-demolished spot still holds some pieces of the past. Read on to learn more about this unique place, and check out its new paint, which is attracting more explorers these days.
Maryland's Hell House ruins are hiding in Ilchester, Maryland. If you've visited before, or saw photos of the area, you may remember it looking something like this.

The ruins have gone from rust and random graffiti to a black and white dreamscape. The twisting design around the altar columns has Beetlejuice vibes at first glance.
A closer inspection reveals poems and symbols galore.
One thing is for sure -- whoever gave this spot a fresh coat of paint sure took their time. From dragons fighting on the walls...
...to the most intricate patterns along the stairs, there's a lot to see here.
