Autumn approaches, which means soon it will be the BEST time to take in aerial sights around the state. The following places are a hike, but they lead to stunning overlook views. Check out these spots in the coming months and prepare to feast your eyes on a whole lot of festive color.
This amazing overlook is located at Rocks State Park in Harford County. There's a moderate 3 mile hike to this spot but the trek is so worth it once you see the view. Go ahead -- sit and stay a while.

To feast your eyes on this colorful view, head to Catoctin Mountain State Park in Thurmont. This particular overlook is known as Chimney Rock and it's at its best during autumn months, for obvious reasons.

This park near Boonsboro is mostly known for its monument dedicated to Georgia Washington, constructed in 1827. You can climb the stairs to the top and see for miles. What a great place for photos!

This western Maryland gem is located atop Dan's Mountain. It's a great spot to view the rolling mountains year-round, particularly at night where the lack of light pollution allows you to see infinite stars. The fall foliage from this perch is also epic.
