We love featuring unique restaurants and day trips in Baltimore and the surrounding area. Previously, we discussed B & O Railroad Museum and realized just how many fans of trains there are. Because of this, today we’re highlighting another area spot that’s not only train-themed, but also incredibly delicious.
Baldwin's Station is a restaurant located just a half hour away from the city.
This charming eatery is housed in an old train station in Sykesville.
(Fun fact about Sykesville: It was recently named the Coolest Small Town in America By Budget Travel. So after you chow down at Baldwin's Station, walk off those calories at the local shops, Sunday Farmers Market, or nearby parks.)
What's really cool about Baldwin's Station is that they haven't changed much of the decor from when it serviced passengers decades ago. Vintage train station benches and old signs makes this place feel like a blast from the past.
When the weather is nice, choose to sit outdoors where trains pass by on the tracks several times a day.
Talk about a unique view!
And speaking of unique, this historic restaurant also serves as an event or wedding venue, giving you and your guests an experience to remember.
And if you're wondering how the food is, wonder no more. Menu items vary from hearty American classics, seafood, and sandwiches...
To brunch options that are the perfect way to start any weekend day.
Baldwin's Station is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday, and for brunch and dinner on Sundays. Visit the website for more information.
