If you’ve lived in Charm City for a while, then you’ve most likely encountered some of these struggles. From frustrating traffic jams to lighthearted annoyances, these things are just a part of living in and loving Baltimore.
1. Traffic
It's always best to leave a few minutes early, just in case.
2. Being served a bad crab cake
Odds are, you know the best spots in the city for a good crab cake. Sometimes though, we try a new place and are thoroughly disappointed. It's the worst!
3. When someone takes the spot you spent hours shoveling out
This is when a chair, trashcan, or any other large object comes in handy. CLAIM THAT SPOT.
4. When you cut your finger on a crab spike
The pain is worth it.
5. When a restaurant doesn't have Natty Boh
This is a rarity in Charm City but it happens.
6. Construction
It seems there is always a construction project somewhere around the city. Being rerouted over and over can be a bit frustrating.
7. When the USS Constellation fires the cannon and it scares the living daylights out of you
Nothing like seeing a bunch of people all jump at once by the harbor.
8. When someone points out your Baltimore accent but you swear you talk "normal"
"Wurt you talkin bout, hon?"
9. Clusters of tourists
If you're not a fan of crowds, it's best to avoid the harbor during summer months and weekends.
10. Being told that Baltimore is a death trap
Yes, it has its dangerous areas but there's so much more to love about Charm City.
