7 Picture Perfect Fall Day Trips To Take Around Baltimore
Seasons seem to come and go so fast. Try making the most of autumn this year by visiting one (or all?!) of the following spots in and around the city.

1. Patterson Park
Patterson Park becomes emblazoned with autumn hues and the sights are stupendous. Head here for a walk, picnic, or visit the pagoda. On Sundays, the pagoda is open to visitors and you can climb to the top and take in views from above.

2. Druid Hill Park
Druid Hill Park is another place in the city where fall foliage shines bright. Bring your camera because this spot is perfect for photo ops.

3. Clark's Elioak Farm
If it's a classic autumn day trip you seek, then drive about 25 minutes and you'll find Clark's Elioak Farm in Ellicott City. During the fall season, this place offers hayrides and a pumpkin patch! Be sure to also check out the petting zoo - the goats are adorable.

4. Patapsco Valley State Park
This nearby park sprawls across both Baltimore County and Howard County. During autumn, the trees turn into beautiful shades of copper, making this the perfect place for a day hike or even camping.
5. Cylburn Arboretum
Head to Cylburn Arboretum to experience picture perfect gardens infused with history. Also on the grounds are Japanese maples, and these unique trees are spectacular during autumn. Look at those colors!

6. Walkersville Southern Railroad
If you're willing to drive a bit further, then we recommend a visit to Walkersville Southern Railroad. This place is located about an hour from the city but it offers an unforgettable autumn train ride for you and your family. What a perfect way to view the leaves!
