The Easy 1-Mile Winter Hike In Baltimore That’s Positively Bewitching
Winter is here but that doesn’t mean you have to stay cooped up indoors. In fact, a bit of outdoor walking or hiking will get your blood pumping and your energy up! Today we’re featuring one of Baltimore’s shortest, yet scenic loops. This spot is perfect for families and for those looking for an easier trek.
Druid Hill Park is known for many things, including the Marylnd Zoo and Conservatory.
The park also features a reservoir and the loop around this watery spot is a mere 1.5 miles in length. Walk, run, or bicycle around this path for a break among nature.
While we recommend visiting year-round, winter is nice for the quieter atmosphere. You won't have to fight crowds and can just enjoy Mother Nature to yourself.
If you've got an upcoming weekend morning free, then consider a short trip to Druid Hill Park and hike around the reservoir. For those early risers, this spot is also a superb place to view the sunrise. What could be better?
