What are some other unique small towns in Maine?
Small towns are all over Maine. It might be hard to keep track of all of them but, here are some more to add to the bucket list and use next time you need a weekend getaway. Ocean Park is a small town nestled right next to Old Orchard. They may share the same beach but they are two very different towns. Ocean Park is a small family community that really is a must-visit location. Bethel is another small town with a lot to offer. This town might seem to be in the middle of nowhere but with the fall colors in the mountains, a ski resort, and a cool trail close this will be a great destination. For another coastal beauty, you might want to visit Boothbay Harbor. With downtown shopping, seafood restaurants, a botanical garden, and even a train museum. This town might seem very busy during the summer but to avoid the crowds take a trip out to Ocean Point and climb on the rocks well enjoying Maine’s beautiful coast. Bucksport is also an awesome little town that has a lot of history. The graveyard hosts an interesting story of a witch’s curse. They also are right next door to the tallest observation bridge in the world. Which is quite a claim and is worth the trip.
