This Shockingly Short And Simple Maine Hike Leads To An Unexpectedly Epic View

The hikes we share using photos of Maine are epic and gorgeous, but not totally attainable for the average person sitting at their computer looking at photos. We get it. That’s why we’ve been on the hunt for hikes that fall into that sweet spot of “perfectly manageable.” How do we judge? It’s got to be A) gorgeous and indicative of Maine’s beauty, B) short because we’re not trying to strap on crampons and sweat through our shirts C) accessible from a major town and C) end with an incredible view. While there might be a few hikes that meet all of that criteria, one of our most recent favorites can be found at Bradbury Mountain in Pownal.

Bradbury Mountain State Park is located at 528 Hallowell Rd., Pownal, Maine. The park is open year round from 9 a.m. to sunset and offers picnic areas and camping. Learn more on their website.
