Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms. We all know that Maine is known for some of the best food in both New England and the entire United States. Things like lobster, crab and other shellfish are often at the top of that list. But, any good Mainer knows that you can find just about any food you want in Vacationland. Our current favorite? Pizza! But, not just any pizza. The food at this Portland spot is so unique you’ll need to visit a few times to wrap your head around just how big a slice actually is! This huge pizza in Maine is worth a trip to Portland.
You'll know you've arrived at Slab when you see the patio area full of people, and maybe even a live band performing. Unless it's winter. In that case you'll need to rely on the smell of incredible pizza to lure you inside.
