Maine was made for weekend getaways! And while some stays are best during certain times of year, you can enjoy a weekend or a few days away in Maine throughout the year. The summer offers incredible weather, but fall foliage makes an autumn stay pretty darn special, too. That’s why we’re focused on finding some great options for you if you’re in the mood for your own time away. This bed and breakfast is perfectly located and oh-so-beautiful!
Welcome to Pilgrim's Inn, located near the coast in one of Maine's most beautiful towns. Deer Isle is both remote and convenient, but that's Maine for you.
One of the oldest buildings in Deer Isle, the bed and breakfast was originally built in 1793 as as private home for local maritime resident, Ignatius Haskell. Back then the home was called the Squire Ignatius Haskell House and today it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Over the last 30 years the inn has undergone quite a few renovations, but most original details are still intact. And the charm can be felt through and through!
Rooms are all located in the main house and offer either a full, queen or king bed. Best of all? There's no TV in these rooms, which makes this a true getaway from every day life.
There are three floors in the main building and there's plenty of common space to spread out. This is truly a wonderful way to escape reality for a few days, while being cared for in a beautiful historic home.
Pilgrim’s Inn Bed & Breakfast is open from May through October. You can learn more about it and make a reservation by checking out their website. And be sure to visit them on Facebook. You can reach them at 207-348-6615.
