Picking apples on a fall day in Maine is what being in Vacationland in October is all about! Most orchards also have farm stands, delicious baked goods and activities for kids on the weekends. But, what we love abut our favorite orchard in Maine is that you can actually enjoy a train ride through the area to make the visit even more fun!

There are a lot of places to find apples in Maine, but Brackett's Orchards is one of the best!

And, as of just a few days ago, the apples are at their prime!

But, that's not the only reason we think a visit to Brackett's is worth the trip.

They also happen to be the only Maine orchard with Brackett's Apple Express!

The small train operates on their hilltop location on weekends.

And hauls kids and their grown-ups around the area for a fun extra activity at the orchard.

After the ride, head inside to treat yourself to a fresh apple donut!

The family run orchard operates their Pick Your Own service seven days a week from 10am to 5pm.
