You’ll Want To Visit This One-Of-A-Kind Restaurant You’ll Only Find In Maine
We recently told you about our favorite place to go for the best seafood in Maine. We also recently told you about a fun off-the-beaten-path BBQ joint. This got us thinking about the best food in the state, which led us down a rabbit hole of Maine food. Not a bad place to be! In our search for new food spots, we found this one. A totally new-to-us unique restaurant in Maine that combines both seafood and BBQ!
Lobster Pound & Real Pit BBQ is the kind of roadside food spot that you won't anywhere else in the world!
They work to use as many local products as possible, including all natural pork for their ribs and pulled pork and certified Black Angus beef for their prime rib, hamburgers and steaks.
This dish includes mussels that are are lightly steamed then immediately smoked on the outside BBQ pit before being served with their own special rich butter sauce.
And the lobster rolls...well, their perfection goes without saying!
