There are so many fantastic places in Maine to enjoy some peace and quiet that choosing just one can be hard. There are three main trails here, all varying in length. Choose from the more challenging "Geology Trail" which is 0.6 miles, the "Rocky End Trail" which is 1.25 miles and a water-lover's dream or the "Horseshoe Trail and Cabin Trail" which together are 0.75 miles.
Show up early enough and you'll not only have the place to yourself, but you're also likely to see some truly incredible early-morning sights. Imagine starting your day watching the mist rise off the Sasanoa River.
There are also lots of places to stop and take it all in. The hikes are fun, but it's the private spots to enjoy some time to think that we really love.
Whenever you choose to visit, try to explore each of the trails if you can. With more than two miles of hiking and walking opportunities, this is one destination that's worth taking your time in.

In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
