The Humble Little Restaurant Mainers Are Quietly Obsessed With
It’s not hard to find a place to eat in Maine. Depending on where you are, there are lots of different options. Near the beach you might find the best seafood, while up in the mountains you might dig into a cozy steak meal. Another thing we love about the Vacationland is that you don’t need to be in one of the larger towns or cities to enjoy the best food the state has to offer. In fact, this little spot is beloved amongst locals. But, if you drive by without paying attention you might not even notice it!
With a name like the Stow Corner Store, you might think this is a place to pick up forgotten essentials between grocery story trips. But the reality is that inside lies a warm, welcoming and wonderful cafe and bakery that locals absolutely love.
While they're well-equipped for whatever Mother Nature might throw at us, we're lucky that this place is open all year round. So, what can you expect to order? Just about anything and everything!
We also love that you can pick up breakfast here. They make a giant egg sandwich that comes with eggs, a meat and two slices of cheese all on a Thomas's English muffin
Stow Corner Store is locaetd at 590 Stow Rd., Stow, Maine. They can be reached on 207-697-2255. They’re open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m every single day of the week! For more information, visit their website.
Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
