Visit The Forest And Mountains By Horseback On This Unique Tour In Maine
If you’ve lived (or visited!) in Maine for long enough it might fee like you’ve seen and done it all. It’s possible that the only time you get inventive is when you have friends or family visiting and they expect a few special adventures. This is definitely a great way to try some new things, but we also believe that exploring new areas and activities is fun to do for no good reason at all. If you agree, consider checking out this unique tour that’s entirely done on horseback. Remember to check out the bottom of this article for all the details you’ll need to reserve your ride!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
Deepwood Farm, located in Bethel, offers a beautiful place for horse lovers to enjoy riding lessons, trail rides, and summer camps.
In operation in the White Mountains of Maine since 1990, DiAnne and Wyatt Ward have created a dream place to visit for anyone with a love or interest in getting into horses and riding.
And, while a lot of local attractions and activities are mostly operational in the summer and fall, we love that Deepwood Farm offers trail rides throughout the year.
The foothills of the White Mountains offer some of the most beautiful views in the state. And there's simply no better way to see it than on horseback led by DiAnne.
Deepwood Farm offers one-hour trail ride tours for $40. Trail rides leave at various times, so be sure to get in touch to check availability and to reserve a space. And if you’re a more experienced rider the farm can accommodate a longer trip. You can learn more about them by checking out their website. You can also follow them on Facebook. If you have questions or would like to make a reservation give them a call on 207-824-2595.
Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
