Enjoy Homemade Bread In The Coziest Barn When You Visit The Most Lovable Bakery In Maine
There are plenty of delicious bakeries all over Maine, but that doesn’t mean they’re all created equal. While we’d have a hard time saying that any aren’t great (it is Maine, after all) there are some that stand out for a few different reasons. Our favorites are the ones that offer great food, but we always enjoy the ones that offer a cozy, unique space to enjoy the goods. This one is a great example!
One of the most lovely bakeries in the state is Boulangerie in Kennebunk.
The bakery is housed inside a restored barn that gives off all the cozy vibes you'd imagine in a place like this! For those looking to have a cozy, Maine experience over coffee and treats this is the place you'll want to visit.
The founders, who attended the Cordon Bleu in London and the International Culinary Center in NYC, felt there was a need for a "proper" bakery that proofed and made all their bread and goods in the bakery. Before they opened in 2015 this didn't exist in town.
And we love just how cozy and cute it is here! Choose your bread or treat, pay and then enjoy it as quickly as you can. There's just something special about homemade bread that's best when warm.
This is a great place to visit when preparing for holidays or just a family special occasion. There are plenty of menu options and you're likely to love every one of them.
The next time you're in search of a great cup of coffee to pair with the perfect, warm bread head to this 1900s barn for a truly special Maine experience.
Boulangerie in Kennebunk is open Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. They’re closed on Monday. You can learn more and check out a menu by visiting their website. And be sure to follow them on Facebook! They can be reached on 207-502-7112.
