Michelle graduated with a communications degree from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and in addition to a career in advertising has worked with OnlyInYourState since 2016, where her love for travel and storytelling converges. Alongside writing and exploring, Michelle finds joy in photography, staying active, and time with her family.

Maine is the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors! This is especially true when the weather begins to warm and all we can think about is enjoying some time surrounded by nature followed by a dip in the water. If you agree, we’ve got the perfect day trip for you. Make your way to Oxford County where you’ll find a short, simple hike to a waterfall that flows into the perfect swimming hole.
The Cataracts can be accessed year-round, but visitors say that it’s best in the spring, summer, and fall months when conditions are less slippery. You can learn more about the trail and the waterfall by visiting alltrails.com.
