This Hidden Garden Tour In Maine’s Biggest City Will Reveal Surprising Beauty
As the winter slips away and spring and summer become more and more of a reality in Maine, it’s easier to notice some of the flowers and trees that are blossoming in towns and cities across the state. Sometimes it feels that the longer we endure winter, the more incredible the blooms are. This year is no exception, which is why we’re excited for all the gardens to open throughout the state. While there are plenty to visit, we love this fun self-guided tour in Portland that many people may not be aware of.
The Munjoy Hill neighborhood of Portland, located next to the beautiful Eastern Promenade, is one of the quirkiest and most fun in the city.
The Hidden Gardens of Munjoy Hill tour takes place on July 8th, 2018. Tickets are $15 in advance, or $20 the day of the tour. For more information and to buy your tickets, head the Friends of the Eatern Promenade website. You can also see more of their community work by following them on Facebook.
We also love this garden in Maine. Time your visit right for the blooming flower walk and you’ll see some of the most incredible lilacs!
