The Extreme Hot Chocolate Menu At This Maine Restaurant Is Exactly What You Need This Winter
Restaurants throughout the state offer tons of specialties that match the season. We love just how many milkshakes we can slurp our way through each summer, for example! And let’s not forget the incredible seafood options you’ll bump into on any car ride up and down the coast. But what’s on offer for the winter? Apparently, it’s hot chocolate and this spot in Portland offers some of the best!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. The Yard in Portland is a relatively new addition to the bar and restaurant scene, but its hoppin' live music and great ambiance have made it a go-to option for people looking to have a good time.
And it's the awesome food that has people leaving full and satisfied. The menu feels like a cross between a pub and a country spot, complete with burgers and tacos.
Originally these beauties were meant to be a one-time special, but they've been brought back for February and we couldn't be more psyched. Options like this raspberry hot chocolate with a raspberry cheesecake can't be beat.
While it's not a mainstay anymore, people were loving the chocolate covered cherry hot chocolate. How'd they do it? It's a mystery, but it's delicious!
From now through the end of the month these options as well as this chocolate brownie hot chocolate are yours for the tasting! Make your plans to visit and your sweet tooth will be satisfied for weeks!
The Yard is open Sunday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. You can learn more about them by checking out the website or visiting them on Facebook. Have questions? You can reach them on 207-466-4040.
Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
