The Deboullie Public Reserve Land in Aroostook County's Eagle Lake offers 29,000 acres of some of the most remote wilderness in the state.
And while they're not the longest in the state, they do range in difficulty from moderate to advanced. This is mainly due to rocks and elevation, so if you're comfortable with those features give it a go!

Deboullie Public Reserved Land can be accessed year-round. The trails here range from moderately difficult to more advanced so if you plan to do a lot of exploring you’ll want to make sure you’re familiar with more rugged landscapes. The area offers hiking, remote camping, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing.
